For the last ten years Dave Scott has been assisting energy and industrial clients with environmental compliance and public lands issues. His areas of focus include state and federal water and air compliance, assisting clients with navigating the NEPA process, and providing advice and defense to clients facing allegations of environmental non-compliance by state or federal regulators or citizen’s groups. Dave has also drafted legislative language and administrative rule-making comment for clients, challenged proposed federal rules in federal court, and assisted clients in obtaining favorable determinations from state and federal administrative agencies.
Before joining Beatty & Wozniak, P.C. in the Spring of 2012, Dave practiced in the Denver office of a local regional firm, and the Washington, D.C. office of the International firm Hunton & Williams. Dave put himself through lawschool, having worked full time while earning his JD from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. in 2003. He earned a BA in Politics from Ithaca College in 1989, and played for Ithaca's men's varsity soccer team. Prior to attending law school, Dave worked in Washington, DC for a member of Congress from New Hampshire and for a non-profit organization focused on protecting states' rights in a federal system.
Dave is admitted in Colorado, Maryland, and the District of Columbia and is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
