Gina Matero entered law school knowing she would focus on the oil and gas industry. After six years in a management role for a natural gas processing company, she earned her degree from the University of Denver College of Law. “It was an industry that just clicked for me,” she says. “Energy law involves many different areas of law, and it gives me the variety I always wanted in a law practice.”
Gina advises clients on multiple aspects of oil and gas law, including exploration and production, gas gathering, processing and transportation, and federal and state regulation. She has a thorough knowledge of the post-production process, which allows her to understand her clients’ perspectives and share their enthusiasm. She says, “The successful oil and gas companies and the leaders of those companies have maintained an entrepreneurial spirit. It’s invigorating to work with clients who are excited about what they do. They haven’t lost the spirit of continually moving forward.”
Gina began working with Mike Wozniak in 2004 and believes Beatty & Wozniak is uniquely qualified in the natural resources area. “We have a well-balanced team,” she says, “with each attorney bringing specific strengths and expertise as needed at various stages of client projects.”
