Karen Spaulding joined Beatty & Wozniak in 2006.  With over 20 years of federal and state court trial experience in Colorado, Karen brought the specialties of complex civil litigation, including energy law matters, and employment law to the firm.  Most recently, she won a defense verdict in Colorado District Court for a Houston based oil and gas company on the issue of reasonable development of the mineral estate in the Wattenberg Field.

At Beatty & Wozniak, Karen represents the firm’s corporate clients in energy, natural resources, and employment litigation matters.  She also advises the firm’s corporate clients on employment law issues that arise in day-to-day business activities, helping them address issues in a timely and efficient manner, with minimum impact on their business unit.

She is the current Co-Chair of the Denver Bar Association’s Community Action Network Committee, regularly assists at Channel 9 News’ “Law Line 9” program, and is a Member of the Legal, Legislative & Regulatory Committee of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association.  She lives in Arvada with her husband and two cats, and enjoys skiing, mountain biking, golf, sailing, and photography.
