Meg Gibson focuses on drafting title opinions and researching issues related to royalty litigation. Meg joined Beatty & Wozniak in December of 2011. Prior to joining this firm, she drafted Texas title opinions and curative documents, while also gaining experience in a variety of areas related to royalty litigation. Particularly, Meg identified and researched title discrepancies, improper post-production deductions from royalty interests, missing royalty payments, volume inconsistencies, and incorrect calculations of fluctuating overriding royalty interests. Ultimately, she negotiated settlements and recovered approximately $2.2 million.
Meg believes that successful solutions are often the result of creative thinking that takes the whole picture into consideration – the law, the facts, and the personalities. Her background as an artist helps her think outside traditional boundaries. In addition, she uses her legal skills to support and advocate for local artists by volunteering for the Colorado Lawyers for the Arts (CoLA).
