Melissa Schindler joined Beatty & Wozniak as an associate attorney in December of 2011, with energy experience as a field landman. Melissa’s practice is based in the title group, with a primary focus on the preparation of title opinions covering federal, state, and fee lands.
Prior to joining Beatty & Wozniak in 2011, Melissa worked as a field landman in Texas, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania, where she did curative title work, due diligence projects acquisitions, and several hundred abstracts. Melissa completed her undergraduate degree at Stephen F. Austin State University, graduating cum laude with a double major in Communications and Criminal Justice. Melissa received her JD in 2010 from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. During law school, Melissa was a member of the Negotiation Team and also completed an internship at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia where she was a member of the defense team for Yugoslavian military leaders accused of genocide. While living in the Netherlands, Melissa also attended classes at Leiden University.
Melissa lives in Denver, and outside of work enjoys cooking, listening to live music, and watching football and rugby. |
