Leading Energy and Natural Resources Litigation Firm Announces Name Change and Addition of Transactional Legal Team

Denver, CO, August 1, 2005 – The Beatty Law Firm, P.C., a leading Rocky Mountain region energy law firm, today announced the addition of Michael J. Wozniak as a senior partner.  Mr. Wozniak was formerly partner-in-charge of the Denver office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP and head of its Colorado Energy Regulatory Group.  The firm will now be known as Beatty & Wozniak, P.C.

Joining Mr. Wozniak at the new firm will be the following natural resources transactional attorneys from his Dorsey & Whitney team:

Mr. Wozniak has been an energy and natural resources attorney for more than 25 years.  Prior to joining Dorsey & Whitney in 2000, he practiced for over 20 years with Clanahan, Tanner, Downing & Knowlton, where he chaired their Natural Resources Practice Group.  Mr. Wozniak currently serves on the City Council for Cherry Hills Village. He is a member of the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association’s Energy and Natural Resources Section, and also sits on the IPAMS Board of Directors. He is a board member and President of the Holly Mutual Water District.  He graduated from Indiana University in 1976 and earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1980.
