Craig Rowland joined Beatty & Wozniak, P.C. in 2018 as an associate, and he has over 7 years of experience as an attorney in the oil and gas industry.


After growing up in Boulder, Colorado and earning his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Craig attended law school in San Diego at California Western School of Law. With an interest in the energy industry, Craig moved back to Colorado in 2011 to begin his oil and gas law practice.


Craig has drafted many intricate title opinions covering federal and fee lands, which often include large subdivisions and complex metes and bounds mineral tracts. He has also drafted client memoranda concerning real property and oil and gas issues, such as royalty payments and leasehold interests.




  • Prepare supplemental, drilling and division order title opinions for federal, state, and fee lands.

  • Conduct title due diligence of real property and leasehold interests.

  • Advise clients on matters including rights-of-way, post-production costs, after-acquired title issues, and royalty interests.

  • Prepare title curative instruments, including stipulations of interest and corrective conveyances.
