OVERVIEW

 

Jennifer joined Beatty & Wozniak, P.C. in 2019, and focuses her practice on natural resources litigation. Jennifer also advises clients on matters related to natural resources development on public lands.

Prior to joining Beatty & Wozniak, P.C., Jennifer worked for a Denver firm, where she prepared title opinions for clients throughout the Rocky Mountain Region and Texas. 

 

Before entering private practice, Jennifer worked as a Landman for an international exploration and production company and was responsible for the preservation of hundreds of leases scattered across the Denver-Julesburg Basin.

SELECT EXPERIENCE

Litigation

  • Assist with all aspects of representing oil and gas companies and trade associations in litigation involving the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act.

  • Efficiently perform discovery in litigation involving breach of contract and tortious interference claims.

  • Draft legal documents in Tenth Circuit appeal relating to Bureau of Land Management land use planning decisions.

Environmental Compliance and Regulatory

  • Draft comments on behalf of oil and gas companies and trade associations on environmental assessments and environmental impact statements.

  • Successful reinstatement decision for federal oil and gas leases.

Transactional

  • Draft responses to third party demand letters from private citizens and municipalities.

  • Draft and negotiate requests for suspension of operations and production for federal oil and gas leases.

Title

  • Co-author title opinions covering fee, federal, and state lands throughout the Rocky Mountain region and Texas.

  • Draft working interest reports, mineral analyses, and chain of title assessments.

  • Write and execute title clearance memoranda pursuant to regulatory requirements for plugging and abandoning vertical and horizontal wells.
