Jake Guzzo is an associate with Beatty & Wozniak, where he works primarily with the firm’s litigation and federal practice groups. His practice includes assisting clients with complex commercial, environmental, natural resources, and regulatory disputes.

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Jake served as a Beatty & Wozniak summer associate and law clerk. Before law school, he served in the United States Army as an Airborne-Ranger qualified Infantryman, where he developed the discipline, leadership, and problem-solving skills that continue to shape his approach to serving clients. During his military service, he led Schofield Barrack’s Small Unit Ranger Tactics program, managed complex operations, and instructed soldiers in demanding leadership environments.

While attending the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Jake gained litigation experience through clerkships with Colorado law firms handling construction defect, insurance, medical malpractice, and personal injury matters. He conducted legal research, drafted motions and memoranda, assisted with discovery and deposition preparation, and supported trial strategy. He was also a member of the University’s National Trial Team and served as Vice President of the Student Veterans Association.

Jake earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his B.S., summa cum laude, in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Chaminade University of Honolulu. He joined Beatty & Wozniak as a full-time associate after graduating from law school and sitting for the Colorado Bar Examination.
