Eric Helfrich is an Associate in Beatty & Wozniak’s Federal Practice Group. Based out of the firm’s Denver office, Eric focuses on helping clients navigate matters involving federal land access, federal statutes, and environmental concerns.
Eric first joined the firm as a Summer Associate in 2024. He returned full-time in 2025 after earning his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he earned a certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. At DU, Eric worked as a legal intern at the United States Department of Agriculture and clerked at a Colorado-based mining company, developing a strong foundation in federal regulatory work and navigating federal statutes such as the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act.
Originally from the St. Louis area, Eric earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Dayton while minoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Outside of the office, Eric enjoys fly-fishing, skiing, and enjoying the outdoors.
