petitmermet scott

Scott Petitmermet advises energy companies of all sizes on issues arising in upstream operations for Beatty & Wozniak. His practice focuses on title, transactional, and due diligence matters, particularly rendering drilling and division order title opinions on fee, federal, state, and tribal lands throughout the Rocky Mountain West. He also advises clients on a wide range of real property and contract issues.

Scott is actively involved in the Denver-based oil and gas community. He is a past President of the Denver Association of Oil and Gas Title Lawyers and also a member of the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law and the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Before joining the firm in 2008, Scott worked for several years as a consulting landman, where he gained extensive experience acquiring leases, performing stand-up title, and completing due diligence projects. By learning the industry from this perspective, Scott can anticipate his clients’ needs before they arise and provide solutions that are aligned with their profitability and long-term success.

In his spare time, Scott enjoys running, skiing, and exploring the Colorado mountains with his family.
