Biography
Scott Petitmermet advises energy companies of all sizes on issues arising in upstream operations. His practice focuses on title, transactional, and due diligence matters, particularly rendering drilling and division order title opinions on fee, federal, state, and tribal lands in the Rocky Mountain West.
Scott is actively involved in the Denver-based oil and gas community. He is a past President of the Denver Association of Oil and Gas Title Lawyers, and is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Prior to joining Beatty & Wozniak in 2008, Scott worked for several years as a consulting landman, where he gained extensive experience acquiring leases, performing stand-up title, and completing due diligence projects. By learning the industry from this perspective, Scott is able to anticipate his client's needs before they arise.
In his spare time, Scott enjoys running, skiing, and enjoying the Colorado mountains with his family.
